BIBLE VERSES: THE HOLY SPIRIT

“But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit.  For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.  For what man know the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him?  Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.  Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.
These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.  But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolish to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one.  For “who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?”  But we have the mind of Christ.”  (1 Corinthians 2:10-16).

“Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?  If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him.  For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.”  (1 Corinthians 3:16-17).

“And such were some of you.  But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the LORD Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.”  (1 Corinthians 6:11).

“Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?  For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.”  (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).

“Therefore I make know to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is LORD except by the Holy Spirit.”  (1 Corinthians 12:3).

“There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.  There are differences of ministries, but the same LORD.  And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works in all.  But the same manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all; for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another the gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.  But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.”  (1 Corinthians 12:4-11).

“For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ.  For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body- whether Jews of Greeks, whether slaves or free- and have all been made to drink into one Spirit.”  (1 Corinthians 12:12-13).
